Welcome To Rosewood Villa

Rosewood villa was opened on 4th of July 1988 by Mrs. Watson, Proprietor. She has over 40 years experience of working with the elderly; in both hospitals and care home.

Our Manager, Lesley Hadaway, began working at Rosewood Villa in 2002. She had gained many qualifications and is currently qualified to NVQ level 4 in Care and has achieved an NVQ accessor’s award. She has also achieved further management qualifications. Mrs. Watson and Lesley are supported by a caring team, who are also undergoing constant training.

Our Rosewood Villa family pride ourselves on providing a “homely” and caring environment.

Our Home from Home

We have 13 single bedrooms and 2 shared bedrooms, over both ground and first floors. All rooms provide lockable facilities for your personal possessions. Some bedrooms also have private telephone lines installed.

Our communal lounges are on the ground floor. The main lounge and conservatory where the activity area is now incorporated and enjoyed by all of our residents.

Rosewood Villa is a non-smoking home.

Home Style Cooking

We also pride ourselves on our Dining Room, where our residents enjoy freshly prepared, home cooked meals.

The Great Outdoors

We have extensive gardens at the front of Rosewood Villa, which are overlooked from the veranda area. It also overlooks beautiful views of Tyne Valley. There are various other small, sheltered patio areas around the property for those who enjoy the outdoors.

We also have a seated garden area at the back of the home.

Social Activities

We have a full social activities programme, which includes bingo, dominoes, sing-a-longs, arts & crafts and exercise sessions. From time to time, excursions are also organised.

We also enjoy celebrating birthdays and other social events.

Visitors

We encourage friends and family to visit. We have regular visits from the local first schools and churches.
